Default Vecotr Rectangle - tightly radiused corners? - 28-05-2008, 06:28 AM

PSP 8

I'd like to draw a (vector?) rectangle with tightly radiused corners.
But, when I use the vector tool, the radius grows as the size of the
vector rectangle grows. Also, when I stretch the vector to a more
rectangular shape (as opposed to a square), the corners become
ovalized instead of a squared radius. Is there some way to keep the
corners tight?

In the Tools toolbar, select the regular Rectangle shape rather than Rounded
Rectangle. You can also look for further info in the Help file under Shapes
or Drawing Shapes. HTH

Carol:

I do want rounded corners (not square), I just want small radius
rounded corners instead of large or oval radius corners. Is there some
way to get that with the regular rectangle that you suggested?

I couldn't find anything specific on this in the help.

Thanks,

Then, you are probably better off beginning with a rounded rectangle for
your preset. Activate the Pen tool & right click on the vector object,
choosing Edit.......or simply click on each of the nodes (represented by
small square) & move them vertically & horizontally to suit. Be sure your
Status Toolbar is enabled & watch the angles in lower right corner.

Study the Help files under drawing &/or editing vectors. You could also
search for online tutorials on the subject. This link might get you
started:

Thanks... the pen operations on the nodes are likely what I need.
